Villa Katina Reserve 2014
This vintage has a dense ruby colour with a slight nuance of brick red. The aroma reminds of an old aristocratic mansion, of luxurious leather armchairs and the smell of perfume soaked into the wooden furniture; of fragrant tobacco and smoke.
The taste is powerful, yet harmonious – a blend of toasted bread, spicy notes of pepper and roasted meat, distant hints of caramel and cocoa. The oak is well integrated and the level of acidity is just about enough to convey a sense of completeness.
In the aftertaste you can discover soft leather notes, Cavendish tobacco and strawberry-and-sour-cherry jam. The aroma of the dry fraction extends the journey way beyond the wine itself.
